Influence of Gender and Location on Upper Basic Social Studies Students Sexual Behaviour in Edo and Delta States

Abstract

This study examined the impact of gender and location on Upper Basic SocialStudies Students sexual behaviour in Edo and DeltaStates. Two research questions were raised and two null hypotheses were formulated and tested at 0.05 alpha level. The population of the study was 51, 624. The sample size for the study was 720 respondents arrived at using the multi-stage sampling technique. The questionnaire is the instrument for data collection. Data generated were analyzed using the simple correlation statistics for the research questions while the simple regression was used to test the formulated null hypotheses. Findings of the study revealed amongst that, there was a significant relationship between gender and location as regards Upper Basic Social Studies Students sexual behaviour in the state under review. The study concluded that gender and location influences Upper Basic Social Studies Students sexual behaviour in Edo and Delta States. The study made appropriate recommendations for the study.
