PRESERVING AND PROMOTING THE VALUE OF TRADITIONAL RITUALS OF THE DAO QUAN CHET PEOPLE IN LA BANG COMMUNE WITHIN THE CONTEXT OF SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT IN THAI NGUYEN
Abstract
This article examines the current state of and solutions for preserving and promoting the traditional rituals of the Dao Quan Chet people in La Bang Commune, Thai Nguyen Province, within the context of sustainable development. The Dao Quan Chet possess a rich repertoire of rituals. These are not merely acts of faith but also serve as mechanisms for regulating social relationships, fostering moral education, and cultivating environmental awareness at the foot of the Tam Dao mountain range. However, due to urbanization and strong trends of cultural integration, many of these rituals face the risk of fading away or becoming distorted. The findings confirm that preserving the cultural values of the Dao Quan Chet people not only safeguards their ethnic identity but also drives the creative economy, contributing to the realization of green growth and sustainable prosperity for the northern midlands and mountainous region.
