Author's Duties
1. Standards for Publishing
Authors of original research must provide an accurate description of the work performed and the results obtained. The manuscript should include sufficient detail and references to allow others to replicate the study. Review articles should be objective, comprehensive, and balanced, while editorial or opinion pieces should be clearly marked as such. Misrepresentation, falsification, or intentionally misleading statements are considered unethical.
2. Access to and Preservation of Data
Authors may be required to submit raw data supporting their research findings for editorial review. Whenever possible, authors should be willing to provide public access to this data. If legal or ethical constraints apply, authors must ensure data is preserved and accessible to qualified professionals for at least ten years after publication through institutional repositories or subject-based data archives.
3. Authorship Criteria
- Conception, design, execution, data collection, or analysis of the study
- Drafting the manuscript or making significant intellectual contributions
- Reviewing and approving the final version of the manuscript before submission
Those who do not meet authorship criteria but contributed significantly (e.g., technical assistance, data collection, or manuscript editing) should be acknowledged in the "Acknowledgments" section with their consent.
4. Research Ethics – Human & Animal Subjects
Authors must disclose any potential risks associated with chemicals, procedures, or equipment used in the research. If the study involves human or animal subjects, authors must confirm that:
- The research adheres to relevant ethical guidelines and regulations
- Approval was obtained from the appropriate institutional review board (IRB) or ethics committee
- Informed consent was obtained from human participants
- The privacy and confidentiality of participants were maintained
5. Peer Review Responsibilities
- Responding to editorial requests for clarifications, additional data, or ethics approvals
- Addressing reviewers’ comments systematically and submitting revised manuscripts within the specified deadline
- Cooperating with journal editors in providing proof of ethical compliance, patient consent, and copyright clearances
6. Corrections & Retractions
If authors discover errors in their published work, they must:
- Immediately inform the journal editors or publisher
- Cooperate in issuing a correction (erratum) or retraction if required
- Provide evidence supporting the accuracy of their work if discrepancies are reported by a third party
If serious errors or ethical violations are identified, the journal reserves the right to:
- Issue a formal retraction following COPE Retraction Guidelines
- Notify institutional authorities for further investigation if necessary
7. Multiple, Redundant, or Concurrent Submissions
Submitting the same manuscript to multiple journals simultaneously is not permitted. Authors must wait for an editorial decision before submitting to another journal.
