Author guidelines

1. Submission Portal

Authors are required to submit their manuscripts via the online submission portal of The International Libyan Journal of Science. This portal allows authors to submit, track, and manage their submissions throughout the editorial process. Detailed instructions on submission procedures can be found on the journal's website.

2. Manuscript Preparation

Manuscripts should be prepared according to the following guidelines:

  • Format: Submissions must be in Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx) format.
  • Language: All manuscripts should be written in English.
  • Length: There are no strict word limits, but authors are encouraged to be concise.

3. Article Types

The journal accepts the following types of articles:

  • Research Articles: Original research contributions.
  • Review Articles: Comprehensive reviews of specific research areas.
  • Short Communications: Brief reports on significant findings.
  • Perspectives: Opinions or discussions on emerging trends or issues.
  • Letters to the Editor: Comments or responses to previously published material.

4. Manuscript Organization

Manuscripts should typically include the following sections:

  • Title Page: Including the title, authors' names and affiliations, corresponding author's contact information.
  • Abstract: A concise summary of the study's objectives, methods, results, and conclusions (250-300 words).
  • Keywords: Up to 5 keywords that best describe the content of the manuscript.
  • Introduction, Methods, Results, Discussion: Main body of the manuscript.
  • Conclusion: Summary of key findings and implications.
  • Acknowledgments: Funding sources, research assistance, etc.
  • References: List all sources cited in the manuscript.

5. Figures and Tables

  • Figures: Figures (including graphs, charts, and photographs) should be high-resolution (300 dpi minimum) and submitted as separate files in TIFF, JPEG, or EPS format.
  • Tables: Each table should be presented on a separate page with a descriptive title.

6. References

  • References should be formatted according to the APA style (7th edition).
  • In-text citations should be numbered consecutively in square brackets ([1], [2], etc.).

7. Review Process

  • All submissions undergo a rigorous peer-review process to ensure quality and academic rigor.
  • Authors can expect timely and constructive feedback from expert reviewers.

8. Copyright

  • Upon acceptance of an article, authors will be required to transfer copyright to The International Libyan Journal of Science.
  • Authors retain the right to use their own work in future publications.
